Our comprehensive resource list is an all-inclusive, intentionally curated network of free and low-cost services and resources to help mums access the support necessary for healthy parenting.  Each of the resources included is also committed to utilizing the five principles of trauma-informed care. 

 

Together, in partnership with those identified in our resource list, we work to provide resources our mums can trust. These resources are compiled from across the island and greater state of Hawai’i. They can be searched and are constantly updated by our team. This guide was created to provide real-time access to trauma-informed resources across the island.

Principal Reduction Alternative (PRA) is a way to reduce the unpaid principal balance on a home by dividing it into separate accounts. There is an interest-bearing principle account along with a non-interest account. Over the course of three years, if the homeowner can complete payments adequately, the non-interest account is reduced to zero.

Oxford House is a concept in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. In its simplest form, an Oxford House describes a democratically run, self-supporting and drug free home.

PACT is an organization on the island that works to promote family services to strengthen you and your baby as they grow up and identify strengths and needs. Please reach out to his organization for family support and services at the phone number included.

PATCH provides families with information and resources needed when looking for quality care for their children, guides and assists individuals who want to open licensed family childcare homes/daycare, offers training and scholarships to childcare professionals and much more!

P’k’lea Support Services provides individualized behavioral therapy based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The methods and strategies we use have been empirically proven to benefit individuals with social, communication, and behavioral challenges.

Caring for Baby Preparing for Birth The Perinatal Support Services Program promotes health education, practices, and increases the likelihood of positive birth outcomes for new moms. They also help improve prenatal care and improves the health of pregnant women. This program has a branch in Kauai, please do contact the phone number listed below!

Connects and empowers new parents of babies 0-4 months to build their own village through facilitated discussions in an emotionally and intellectually safe environment. The program is committed to providing opportunities that support women achieving healthy and safe pregnancies and nurturing a healthy baby.

Caring for Baby Planning for Birth: Positively Pregnant is a pregnancy class offered both virtually and in person to all on the island for two hours which will provide overall pregnancy information, how this process will affect you, and physician assisted advice.
